Man United are interested in a deal to sign Hoffenheim left-back David Raum in the summer, claims Sky Germany.
The Red Devils know that they might be able to seal his signing for around £34m but face stiff competition for the German full-back.
West Ham United, Newcastle United and Borussia Dortmund are also reportedly in the race to sign him.
In an interview last month, Hoffenheim defender David Raum was asked about his future. At the time, he was being linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund.
Quoted by the MEN, Raum replied: “Of course, you think about it [his future].
“Naturally, I would have liked to have played on the international stage with Hoffenheim.
“Unfortunately, that didn’t work out. That continues to be a dream for me.”
Well, he can’t play in the Champions League even if he moves to Manchester United next season. However, with Erik ten Hag in charge, the Red Devils are up for an exciting 2022/23.
Luke Shaw is our first-choice left-back for now but his contract expires in 2023. That leaves Alex Telles, who failed to impress in Shaw’s absence last term.
