Man United insist that Cristiano Ronaldo is not up for sale this summer, multiple sources have reported.
Previously, it emerged that the 37-year-old has asked the club to let him go this summer if a suitable bid arrives.
However, United expect Ronaldo to stay at least until the end of the contract in 2023.
Thus, it’s going to be difficult for Ronaldo to orchestrate his exit, especially given the limited number of clubs that he’d consider and that would be able to pay his wages.
Several clubs have been linked with the Portuguese, including Bayern Munich, Chelsea and, most surprisingly, Napoli: as per The Athletic, the Italian side is interested in Ronaldo.
