Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson has taken to social media after the news that he was ruled out of the on-going Euro 2020 due to a hip injury.
The Englishman tweeted: “I worked so hard to be in this position. I’m Devastated to have to withdraw through injury!!
“I want to wish my team mates all the best for the up and coming games. BRING IT HOME”, he ended his tweet, capping it off with an England flag emoji and a fist bump emoji.
Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has been called up as his replacement in the squad.
Meanwhile, Henderson is the second United player to be ruled out of the Euros after Donny van de Beek also had to withdraw from the Netherlands squad due to injury. The goalkeeper will now start his recovery at Carrington.
