Erik ten Hag is keen on bringing James Ward-Prowse to Man United after he takes over in the summer, claims the Sun.
With Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic both set to leave in the summer, Ten Hag wants to sign multiple midfielders and believes Ward-Prowse can be ideal for the Red Devils.
The Dutchman believes the 27-year-old midfielder can be a viable defensive midfield option and also add creativity with his set-piece ability.
But United will face competition from Man City – who are also eager to sign the set-piece specialist.
Southampton, although, are not going to let him leave for free and have slapped a £75m price tag on their captain.
The Red Devils have decided against pursuing a move for Declan Rice due to his £150m value and could ponder on a move for Ward-Prowse instead.
