Update From Real Madrid Ahead Of Chelsea 2nd Leg: Carvajal Out, Ramos Back
Ahead of Chelsea vs Real Madrid second leg clash at Stamford Bridge, we bring to you the latest update from the Spanish side.
As of today, we have got the info that Real Madrid’s injury crisis has continued as the Los Blancos has lost another important player.
Dani Carvajal has reportedly pulled a muscle in training and miss the Chelsea game, Onda Cero reports.
The right-back has only recently recovered from his previous problem and started two games in succession, including Chelsea’s first leg clash and Real Betis in the league.
However, his injury, if confirmed, will mean Alvaro Odriozola is the only option available at right-back for Zidane to select as Lucas Vazquez is also injured. Thus, Odriozola will most likely start against the Blues in the second leg.

Onda Cero’s Edu Pidal also gave updates on Fede Valverde, Sergio Ramos, and Ferland Mendy – the midfielder is still recovering from COVID-19 and won’t play for now. However, Sergio Ramos is expected to return by the Chelsea game as he trained with the rest of the squad today, while Mendy also aims to make a comeback vs the Blues.
On the other hand, Chelsea should have a fully fit squad in the second leg as Mateo Kovacic is expected to be back for the Fulham clash.
Chelsea will host Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge next Wednesday.
