There is no secrete that Manchester United is interested in adding a refined center-back to their ranks this summer and the most popular name within the club has been none other than Raphael Varane.
Now transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has provided big update on the Real Madrid defender likewise United outcast Donny van de Beek.
“Donny Van de Beek has NOT been discussed between Manchester United and Real Madrid as player included in the negotiations for Raphael Varane,” Fabrizio Romano tweets.
“Man Utd asked for Varane one week ago on direct contact – but there’s still no official bid, waiting for Real price tag,” adds the transfer insider.
Meanwhile, it has earlier been claimed by other sources that the Whites would agree to sell the Frenchman for about €60m.
Then as for Van de Beek, the attacking midfielder reportedly could’ve joined Real Madrid on loan but he’s definitely not going to be part of the Raphael Varane deal.
