According to the reliable Fabrizio Romano, a tier-one source, Raphael Varane is expected to undergo his medical at Manchester United next week.
The French defender is expected to land in Manchester on Monday, with a medical and contract signing planned later in the week.
Once that’s sorted, Raphael Varane will officially become Manchester United’s third new signing this summer. The club have already completed deals for Tom Heaton and Jadon Sancho.
The Real Madrid center-back is believed to be joining Manchester United for around €40m initial fee, which could rise up to €50m plus bonuses.
The 28-year-old spent 10 years at Real Madrid, claiming 18 trophies with the club, including 4 Champions League and 3 La Liga titles.
