Viera Sends Strong Words Of Respect To Chelsea Ahead Of FA Cup Semis Despite Turning Down His Request

Chelsea will face Crystal Palace in the semi-final of the FA Cup as they aim to reach their third final in a row.

Manager Patrick Vieira previewed the game (via Guardian): “We know what to expect about Chelsea. We know the team and their individual talent.

“We have to give our best performance. We lost 1-0 but we gave them a hard game in the league and we want the same approach.

“They played well [against Real Madrid]. It was a big game and they performed well. They were unlucky not to go to the semi-finals.”

Chelsea have beaten Palace twice this season in the Premier League, beating them 3-0 at home and then 0-1 at Selhurst Park.

With Conor Gallagher, who has been arguably Palace’s best player this season, ineligible to play, Chelsea are the heavy favorites to advance.
