Jesse Lingard has impressed in Manchester United’s first pre-season friendly game against Derby County as he nearly scored a wondergoal in addition to creating goalscoring opportunities for Pellistri and Hannibal.
Speaking after the game, Manchester United legend and now Derby County boss showered the English star with praises and encourages him to commit his future to the Red Devils.
“Jesse is a fantastic player,” Derby County boss Wayne Rooney told Sky Sports about Lingard.
“He done excellent when he went to West Ham on loan and sometimes that’s what kickstarts your career again.
“He’s given himself a great chance of getting back into the squad at Manchester United.”
Meanwhile, Lingard’s current deal expires in 2022 and West Ham are heavily linked with a move for the 28-year-old.
