Arsene Wenger Names Manchester United’s Biggest Problem & How Ole Should Solve It
Speaking on beIN SPORTS, Arsene Wenger said: “I wouldn’t say it was a mistake for Manchester United to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.
“But certainly, some emotional impact was in there because he has been a fantastic player. I believe Ronaldo can still score you the goals you need.
“Can he repeat every three games, very high-intensity games? That’s certainly less the case at the moment but let’s not forget he was the hero against Atalanta.
“When you buy a player like that, the secret is the balance of the team. Cristiano, he can win you games, but you need to create the balance around him.”

Cristiano Ronaldo’s presence in the starting XI, meanwhile, appears to have blunted Man United’s ability to press and it remains to be seen whether Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can find a way to fix the issue.
However, as long as the Norwegian continues to refuse to turn to certain options in the squad (Nemanja Matic, Donny van de Beek, and Jesse Lingard), it’s hard to see the problem going away.
