Speaking about Man United surrendering a two-goal lead in their 2-2 draw against Aston Villa, Erik ten Hag said: “First-half decent performance, 2-0 up.
“And second-half we came bad out of the dressing room, we had control of that game and then we gave it away. That is not good, so that is a lesson.”
Giving his thoughts on United’s performances in the entire pre-season tour of Asia (Thailand and Australia), he added: “From the players, from the team, I think we have made a lot of progress.
“I will say there have been a lot of positive aspects and, in the end, also a setback, and that is also part of the season because a season is not always getting up. You will also have setbacks that you have to deal with.”
United saw their 100% winning run under Ten Hag end with the draw against Villa, but they remain unbeaten under the Dutch manager.
