What Manchester United XI Would Look Like From Next Season After Major Signings
The truth is Manchester United have one of the most talented young squads in the Premier League right now and exciting prospects coming through the youth academy ranks with every passing year.
Not only that, but the Red Devils are also likely to make some strong signings in this summer window – players who will continue to feature in years to come. Add that with our current players and bright youngsters who will get more game-time in the future, United can be excited about what’s to come in 2-3 years, starting from this coming season.
As a result, we take a look at a few possible Manchester United XI in a few years’ time counting realistic possible transfers (among those currently rumored) and up-and-coming youngsters.
Option 1

Let’s assume that multiple players who are regular starters in the United team probably won’t retain that position in a few years. If no.1 center-back target Raphael Varane comes in this summer, he should hold a partnership with Harry Maguire in defence for years to come.
While Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw are unlikely to be usurped, and Dean Henderson should be the bonified no.1 by then. If United end up getting Declan Rice over the next 2-3 years because of how much they’re interested in him, that could allow Bruno Fernandes more freedom and Paul Pogba an attacking role – if he signs a new contract and stays.
Before then, Mason Greenwood should develop into a clinical no.9 and take the center-forward role. Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho – who should arrive at Old Trafford soon – could end up flanking him to create a terrorizing attacking line for the Red Devils.

Option 2

There is a chance United could be unable to sign Raphael Varane this summer but could then push for Pau Torres’ transfer. So if he arrives, the Spaniard should become a mainstay in the starting XI with Maguire for years to come.
Of course, there’s also a chance that United could lose Pogba over the next few years and some other team signs Rice. But for the Red Devils, there’s always a potential option coming through the academy.
In 2-3 years, James Garner should be ready enough to take the defensive midfield role at Old Trafford. Hannibal Mejbri’s another brilliant talent who can be a natural replacement for Pogba in a few years.
The duo can become first-team regulars in the next few years if their development goes the right way.
Likewise, Amad Diallo – who will be eyeing that right-wing role for the long term. If that happens, Sancho and Rashford could end up competing for the left-wing role as well as be rotated.
