Ralf Rangnick Finally Makes Decision On Who Will Become Man United Captain For Now

“No, not right now,” Ralf Rangnick said when asked about whether he plans to make Cristiano Ronaldo the new Man United captain and strip Harry Maguire of the captaincy.

“I don’t see a reason to do that because Harry has been the captain so far and as long as Harry is playing, he will be the captain.

“Then, if he is not playing, Cristiano will obviously step in but this can change from game to game. As I said it’s all dependent on who is playing,” he added.

Meanwhile, Harry Maguire has been the United captain for almost two years now after being given the responsibility by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in January 2020.

The Englishman hasn’t been able to guide the Red Devils to any silverware and has been in poor form this season, forcing many to call him to be stripped as the captain.

But it doesn’t look like Rangnick plans on that, as Harry will continue to wear the armband whenever he’s playing for United.
