Rangnick Reveals The True Reason Why Cristiano Ronaldo Didn’t Play Vs Leicester City

Ralf Rangnick has confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo is ill and that’s why he is unable to play in Man United’s game against Leicester City.

He told MUTV before kick-off: “He had some flu-like symptoms before training yesterday, he didn’t feel well enough to train.

“We sent out doctor to his home this morning to check if he felt any better but he didn’t, so he’s not in the starting XI as he was supposed to be.”

It’s not yet been confirmed whether Ronaldo has tested positive for Covid-19 or whether his flu-like symptoms are from some other illness.

With Cristiano not playing, it was Bruno Fernandes who played as a false no.9 in the 1 – 1 draw with Leicester City after signing a new contract on Friday.
