Breaking: Why Frenkie de Jong’s Manchester United Transfer Has Not Happened Finally Revealed

Manchester United have ‘reached a broad agreement’ with Barcelona over the €75 million transfer of Frenkie De Jong, as per reports in Spain and England.

However, according to the Times, a tier-one source, the deal can’t go through because of the €20 million still owed by Barca to the player in deferred wages.

The majority of Barcelona stars agreed to take a temporary pay cut during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic in order to help ease the club’s financial issues.

And while De Jong is said to be interested in talking to Man United this summer, he wants to receive the entire €20 million in deferred wages before leaving.

Meanwhile, it has been gathered that the Dutch international would be open for a move had his owned wages been cleared. But at the moment Barcelona is not looking into the situation properly, yet they have been signing huge numbers of players.
