According to journalist Jonathan Shrager, talks between Man United and Jurrien Timber have broken down.
It’s claimed that the talks are not ended but stalled after the sides could not reach an agreement over personal terms.
Timber was thought to be Erik ten Hag’s first-choice target to strengthen the defensive line after the pair worked together at Ajax.
However, the 21-year-old looks set to stay at the Dutch club for at least another season – unless United make another push before the end of the transfer window.
So far, Manchester United and Erik ten Hag are yet to find a breakthrough in the transfer market since the Dutch manager took over as the club’s first team manager this summer.
Moreover, players such as Frenkie de Jong, Christian Eriksen, and Ajax starlet Anthony have all been muted for a transfer to Old Trafford this summer but none of them has been flagged off.
Hopefully, they’d be go news for Man United fans on new arrivals this summer.
