Manchester United are considering sacking Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after the 5–0 home defeat against Liverpool on Sunday.
And Antonio Conte has emerged as an early favorite to replace the Norwegian in the Old Trafford dugout but nothing has been decided just yet.
Now according to ESPN FC, there is a ‘reluctance’ within Manchester United to turn to the Italian manager due to his track record of being ‘an abrasive and demanding character’.
However, the Red Devils understand that the former Juventus, Chelsea, Italy, and Inter Milan boss would be their ‘best option’ should they decide to part ways with Solskjaer in the next few weeks.
On the other hand, Zinedine Zidane is understood to not be open to accepting the Manchester United job due to personal reasons. As things stand, if United do decide to part with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, they would certainly have to push aside their view on Conte’s managerial demands and settle for the Italian serial winner.
