Zidane Gives Vinicius Private Sessions Ahead Of Chelsea’s Champions League Tie

Brazil youngster Vinicius Jr has been under heavy criticism for his finishing this season and a report has emerged that Zinedine Zidane works with him to improve his game after team training sessions.

Zinedine Zidane has made Vinicius progress his own private mission as he started giving the youngster private coaching sessions, reports L’Equipe.

Although it’s unclear how long this has been going on, as the paper does not specify it, assume it is a trend of recent weeks, as Vinicius’ form and decision-making in the final third started to improve.

Meanwhile, that’s exactly what Zizou has been working on better calls from Vinicius in the opponent’s third. The extra time on the training ground bore fruit in last week’s 3-1 win over Liverpool where Vini scored a brace.

Again, the special sessions from the boss will also be crucial in helping the Brazilian as Real Madrid face important fixtures in the coming weeks such as a Champions League semi-final against Chelsea.

Interestingly enough, L’Equipe adds that Rodrygo is another beneficiary of Zidane’s private coaching. The youngster struggles for game time since returning from injury in late February, only making one start since then.

The Real Madrid faithfuls will be hoping Rodrygo shows the kind of improvement seen from Vinicius too.
